On the 5th Sunday of Lent, 6th April,  Br. Dónal OFM performed a blessing for the re-dedication of the newly refreshed Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes at the front of Blessed John Duns Scotus Church.

The  blessing took place following 12 Noon Mass  and was attended by about 70 parishioners .

Many thanks are offered to a band of generous helpers and benefactors of the parish who spent many hours renewing the Grotto to be a beautiful 'place of peace and prayer'.

This Grotto is a “PLACE OF PEACE, SILENCE AND PRAYER” and not a play area. We must all respect and care for this special area. (When in the area, children MUST be accompanied by an adult).
