There was indeed much cause for celebration this year with two notable dates arrived at in February and March.

Firstly, on Sunday 5 February, Father Ninian was joined by friends and parishioners in the church hall at Blessed John Duns Scotus after mass, as he celebrated his 90th birthday with a cake and tea.

The following month was the occasion for Brother Donal, who celebrated the 40th anniversary of his ordination as a Franciscan priest on 18th March. Once more there was a cake and some treats for a small celebration to mark such a significant year.

Congratulations aplenty are offered for both.
